No need to spend a dime. Download the zip
file dkvutil.zip from the Utilities subdirectory of our site file vault.
Complete documentation is also contained in the zip. It will allow you to
convert any type of midi file collection into Yamaha (e-seq) format. You
can also easily title the disk, title the tracks, rearrange the tracks and/or
turn on Yamaha write protection on a track by track basis.

I bought an upright Disklavier MX500QA last January. At the time I
was told that it only came with the controler that plays the old
format disks. Now when I see the specs on the same unit, it appears
as though it is sold with the new type that has midi and pc
connectors. Do you know whether my unit will play the new type
disks (midi) or do I need to get another controler from Yamaha?
