Not having any luck with the reply tab for the most recent message in this thread so I replying this way. The problem with the wireless MIDI devices for use with a notebook is that they are really made for something like a guitar (with the exception of some very expensive commercial models) and are supposed to plug into a MIDI sending device directly. They also require batteries. To use them with a notebook, you need a MIDI interface unless you happen to have one of the two notebooks ever made (as far as I can tell) that have MIDI built in. This means a USB interface the wireless MIDI device with its batteries and all the wires connecting them needs to be bundled with the notebook. Hardly bertter than a wire. That is why I am so excited about the wireless USB solution. I just checked Belkin's web site and it looks like they are really going to make it available soon, probabl in time for Christmas. The bad news is that the price has just about doubled since they first offered it. It is now $200
