Another cool thing would be to make audio recordings of
your MIDI files using a Virtural Piano (VST).  I bought
the Grand 2, a Steinberg company now owned by Yamaha.
I haven't figured out the entire thing yet, but $200
was a lot cheaper than what you had in mind, and it
sounds GREAT!  Even the new Pro Audio from
www.pgmusic.com will play and record virtual
instruments.
