Hi, I've finished my piece for the ARTSaha festival for Disklavier and was wondering if somebody (or even a couple of people) would be kind enough to record it for me so I could hear how the levels are? Before you play it, though I should warn you it's very loud and very bombastic. It's not atonal, but it is intense and has many passages with 16 simultaneous notes. The piece explores the musical boundaries between pounding Southern gospel music and East European and Middle East tunes and is in my usual extremely barbaric rhythmic style. It's around 7 minutes long. ;-) Here's the MIDI file: http://parnasse.com/midi/Jeff-Harrington-Surge_for_Disklavier.mid Here's an MP3 of a realization I did on my sampler: http://www.harrington.lunarpages.com/mp3/Jeff-Harrington-Surge_for_Disklavier.mp3 Since I don't know what model the piece will be played on I'd love to be able to hear it recorded on a couple of different models (I've been told to hope for a Pro). The goal is to here it realized on a few models of disklavier and attempt to fine tune the MIDI volume levels. Thanks in advance, and I hope a few of you guys like it! The premiere is in September!
