yahoo vs. google

2007-07-16 by wandamusic@aol.com

I have a question. When I receive email digests from google I see this as
the from:

_noreply@googlegr_ (mailto:noreply@googlegr)
and in the subject I see:
2 new messages in 1 topic - digest
------------------------------------------

When I get an email from the yahoo group, I see this:

disklavier@yahoo
and in the subject I see:

[disklavier] Digest Number 1605
------------------------------------------------------

The problem is I am on 2 google groups and I never can tell which it is
without opening the email. This may sound like an insignificant thing, but when I
get maybe 100 or more emails a day and can't keep up, I open selectively.

How do they appear to others? Can you tell it is the *disklavier* group just
from what you see before opening the google digest?

I am guessing I am on a digest setting, but I am new to google and don't
have a clue where to change settings. And I really don't want a bunch of email
coming in separately as I find that harder to go through.

For this reason I prefer the yahoo group, and I can't see any advantage to
google. I guess for some the fact that google comes in all in black and white,
no color - may be an advantage, wheras the yahoo with the more recent
settings has a link for each email in the top - and I like this as I can click
and go right to the email that I am interested.

Nonetheless I am not interested in starting any trouble......these are just
my observations and my preference, simply as it is easier for me all the way
around. And maybe there is something wrong with my settings on google and this
 can all be fixed?

Blessings,
Wanda
