Re: [disklavier] Could I connect a new disklavier player to an old MX100 II

Good morning, everyone.

RS, you cannot put a Mark III control unit (which comes with the DU1A) on an earlier model DIsklavier. However, you can add the following devices, connect by MIDI:

--DSR1
This provides nearly all Mark III user features except anything having to do with the CD feature of the Mark III.

--DCD1
This adds the most of the CD features of the Mark III. The main exception is that if you play a PianoSoft Plus Audio MIDI file that sends tuning messages to the CD player, the CD player will not adjust its pitch to match. This is an issue with about 25% of the published Yamaha PianoSoft Plus Audio MIDI files.

Guys and Gals,

I am new in the disklavier world. Since 1990, I always wants to have a
disklavier. However, at the time, disklavier was too expensive. Last
month, I happened to find a used disklavier but in very good
condition.

Could you please let me know if a new disklavier player that is
connected to current model DU1 can be connected to an old MX100 II.

Any help is really appreciated.
