Re: [disklavier] Backup of Dealer Installed Music on Memory Disks

This is a special deal from Yamaha. These disks are not sold separately. Should you ever need to replace the songs in the original 16 memory disks, a Yamaha Disklavier technician can help you.

I tried to copy 'all songs' of a memory disk to a floppy but can't due

If your dealer copied Yamaha-published song files to your Disklavier's internal memory, you are correct that the Disklavier will prevent you from copying them to another floppy disk. This is part of the copy protection scheme.

I am assuming that your dealer soldyou these song files and then copied them to the internal memory as a convenience to you. The original files come on floppy disks. Since you paid for them, you are entitled to the disks. I suggest that you ask the dealer for them.
