Hi all, I recently bought a Yamaha U3 (1989) which has a MX100A Disklavier instatled on it. I had a question regarding recording. If anyone has any advice on this I would greatly appreciate it. I play the piano & record with it mainly through MIDI. Everything works well except for the fact that I always have to have a disk in the drive for MIDI to work. If I don't send info to the piano for over 5 mins the drive goes into a hibernation mode & turns itself off. This is normal for it to do this but it gets annoying as I always have to then press the stop key to wake the drive up to reactivate the drive. Does anyone know if there is a way to stop the drive from hibernating after 5 mins. Or to tell it to hibernate after say 1 hour instead of 5 mins. I heard there was a way of upgrading the MX100 to a DSR1 unit. Does the DSR1 still have to have a disk in its drive for MIDI to work? Thanks for any advice.
