Hello, Is this a Japanese import? I thought the MX100A was a U1 based piano and that was all Yamaha had ever offered outside of Japan? I'm pretty sure that U3 disklaviers were/are only offered in Japan too? Anyway, as far as I know the DSR1 doesn't have this limitation - it is essentially the same controller that I have on my MarkIIXG (DKC500RW) and I can use my piano for hours as a midi controller, with or without a disk in the drive. I can't help on the MX100 hibernate issue though :( Enjoy the piano! James glarcombe wrote: > Hi all, > > I recently bought a Yamaha U3 (1989) which has a MX100A Disklavier > instatled on it. I heard there was a way of upgrading the MX100 to a DSR1 unit. > Does the DSR1 still have to have a disk in its drive for MIDI to work? > > Thanks for any advice. > > > > To Post a message to the group, send it to: disklavier@... > > To Post a private message to Todd Muncy, the group's founder and moderator, send it to: > disklavier-owner@... > > To reach our group's web site go to: > http://Yahoogroups.com/group/disklavier > > THINKING OF LEAVING THE GROUP? > If you are thinking of unsubcribing because you are getting too much mail, go the the web site and change your email delivery option instead.
