I always use a to host cable.
Laptop or PC wit Cakewalk or XG works or Cubase or whatever,
make a connection between the COM port of the PC / Laptop and install the Yamaha
CBX driver (as hardware, not as software !) on the computer.
Then you do not need any midiports, no MPU drivers or
whatever, also you do not need any soundcard in the computer because the COM
port is corresponding directly via To Host with the disklavier. Do not forget
the switch on the backside of the control unit of the disklavier, there ar 4
options, MIDI, Mac, and PC 1 and PC 2. This must set in PC 2 !!! Then it will
work easely !
