Disklavier

Has anyone been successful in ripping Disklavier CDs to backup copies in
MP3 format, then playing them to the piano jukebox-style from an MP3
player, laptop computer, etc.?

If this works, what MP3 encoder and parameters did you use?  I'm sure
that playing uncompressed WAV files will work, and lossless compression
such as FLAC should work too, but I'm curious whether the Yamaha CD
format survives MP3's lossy compression if you use a sufficiently high 
bitrate.
