RE: [disklavier] Buying a Yamaha DC2A, any advice on what to look for?

2008-02-20 by Alex Mattus

I have that model and paid 24K back then. All tuners that come to the house love the tone of that piano for that length 5'8". The DC3A is a better sounding piano but thats 30K back then. IMHO, the Concert series pianos are great especially if you get the C2 and above models. It really separate you from the ordinary uprights and baby grands. Good luck on your piece.

Subject: [disklavier] Buying a Yamaha DC2A, any advice on what to look for?

The piano has had a single owner since new back in 2002. It is a C2
disklavier mkiii. Assuming the inspection shows no abnormalities, is
$11000 a fair price? I realize the C3 is a better sounding piano, but
I don't have the space for one. I'm barely able to squeeze a C2 into
my living space. ;)

Any opinions or warnings? I intend to use the piano to learn how to
play, and to also have it play music for entertaining.

Thx.
