We probably don't want ALL messages going through a moderator (nor would any moderator want that job!). I'm the owner of a different yahoo group, and it gets absolutely no spam what-so-ever. The reason is that I set the group up so that you can't post messages to it until you are a member, and you can't become a member until I approve of the request. I can't recall if this group is also set up that way (my guess is that it is, otherwise we would be seeing a whole lot more spam!). Anyway, maybe we should ask for a disklavier serial number or something along those lines? It couldn't be quite that severe though, since there are a lot of valuable members in this group that don't actually own a disklavier. -Kevin ----- Original Message ---- From: Mike Moore <mmoore@...> To: disklavier@yahoogroups.com Sent: Thursday, June 19, 2008 11:49:13 AM Subject: RE: [disklavier] Freebies & Herpes???? Agreed. If the moderator has the time to filter out such messages, this stuff should never see the light of day in this forum. I agree. Who needs to see this stuff on a Disklavier group? Anybody checking what people post before it goes out???? If i get a vote, i vote to have the moderator/administr ator filter messages. I don't need to see this stuff. Joe
