My Norton Antivirus program picked up the virus as Wscript.kakworm (aka VBS.kak.worm). In researching it on the Symantec site I found that it effects Microsoft Outlook and Outlook Express and it can create a virus file without running an attachment and it can be spread automatically by OE. Apparently it can sit in your machine unnoticed and then shut down your system on the 5th of every month. If it were me I would install Norton AV or somesuch real soon. Updating the software and antivirus definitions regularly is easy and can be set up to done automatically over the internet. Unfortunately it's a necessity these days. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jim Cook" <Jim_Cook@...> To: <disklavier@yahoogroups.com> Sent: Tuesday, February 13, 2001 9:12 PM Subject: Re: [disklavier] Change of e-mail address > Don, > > My e-mail router also spotted the same virus and deleted it before > forwarding it to me.
