The Disklavier doesn't know your right hand from the left hand in the same 
way you do.  In the MIDI menu, you can split the keyboard.  Basically, the 
keys on your piano are played from information contained in Channels 1 and 
2, otherwise noted as L and R.  You can record whatever you want your "left 
hand" to play in Channel 1, and the "right hand" notes on Channel 2.
