wow, thanks. ________________________________ From: Carol Beigel <carol@...> To: disklavier@yahoogroups.com Sent: Sun, May 22, 2011 3:04:21 PM Subject: [disklavier] new midiplayer tools website I have a new vision for a website that answers all questions Disklavier as well as other brands of midi player pianos and keyboards. I am afraid to alter and update what I already have, www.carolrpt.com and risk losing the site altogether, but it very badly needs updated. So my solution is an entirely new website: www.midiplayertools.com that will include all the pertinent material covering older Disklaviers that is covered on my current website, updated information about MIDI to audio conversions, and... hopefully, contributions from other people who know more than I do about various things MIDI. Remember, I am only a piano technician by trade with a great love of player pianos. There are others out there, and on this list, who know far more about wireless networking, MIDI editing and creation, software creators, etc. We have all benefited from the posts of George Litterist (pianobench), Spencer, Midi Magic, Zenph Studios, etc. as well as many others who have pioneered various hardware, software solutions to help us do many things with our Disklaviers. This will not replace what we have here in our Disklavier yahoo group. It will be a place to store files and information. My idea is to have information available so we don't need to keep answering the same questions over and over. Also, technology marches on faster than our hardware, so we need to be able to present new material and new links to where it resides. I have acquired the domain name www.midiplayertools.com as a website to collect in one place all the software, hardware reviews, instructions, etc.pertaining to everything Disklavier. Each person contributing to this website may link to their own commercial website. I have hosted this domain with Dreamhost so we have access to unlimited bandwidth and files forever. I am also willing to share webmaster duties to keep the site current and remain open to suggestions as to the content of this website as well as it's layout. Let us see how far we can go to enjoying music in the 21st Century. Carol Beigel carol@carolrpt.com
