However, yes, you can download MIDI files on your computer to a floppy disk, and put that disk into the MarkIIXG Disklavier and it will nicely play the files!
I suggest the purchase of a used PC laptop running Windows XP or earlier for using MIDI utilities on a Disklavier - GNMIDIf, and the DKV until.

Hello again
I have other questions:
(for the mpx1 MIIXG with module DKC500R)
-Can the disklavier record an incoming midi song (from computer) while it plays it (in the memory disc or the floppy) ? and if yes how to do that...
-Also is there anotherway to convert an e-seq file into midi than the Carol Beigel utility ESEQ2MID. I have an Imac (Apple).
-With my disklavier can I just from the computer take a floppy, format IBM and drop in there some midi files and then play that floppy on the disklavier ?
Lastly thanks to all for this great group!
