The DKC850 should make some difference in the levels you can play at low volume. However, there is a processor built into the piano which handles the information coming from the sensors, as well as the control signal for the solenoids. This is not affected by the DKC850, so it will impose certain limits on what can be attained. At the moment the E3 series is the best instrument on the market for playing at low levels and you cannot fully reproduce it on an older piano just by adding the DKC850. If you want to reduce the level of your piano, there are physical measures you can take. Have a look at http://carolrpt.com/servicesv2.htm for some ideas.
