Disklavier

I'm basing this possible diagnosis on the fact that you indicate that the
on/off switch seems at times to be "very sensitive" to a light touch
powering off the unit when it is on, but not always.  This can indicate a
switch that has dirt in the mechanical mechanism that locks it from off to
on, or on the actual electrical contacts making it erratic in operation.
 
From my experience with other electronics, sometimes you can "fix" such a
problem by rapidly cycling the switch several times to dislodge dirt in the
mechanism.  Unplug the power first (electronics don't appreciate rapid power
cycling), then press the on/off switch as rapidly as you can while fully
pressing and releasing it rapidly several times in a few seconds. Press very
firmly (but do not strike or hit), as the goal is to fully cycle the switch
to vibrate the insides of the switch so as to dislodge any dirt which is
fouling the inner contacts or mechanical locking mechanism but you want to
avoid doing damage by physically "hitting" it to hard.  Your goal is to
rapidly cycle the insides of the switch without damaging things. 
 
Amazingly, this is often the problem with switches that have been around for
a while, and frequently ends the issues with them.  If not, and the switch
is the real problem, it will likely have to be replaced with a new
switch/button. As to such repairs, I have no knowledge what is available or
how to proceed with a DKC500R.

Yes maybe; when I had opened the unit i carefully looked ant check around
for loose onnetore . Is there a way to check directly that power button ? 
his kind of problem is not happening all the time which makes it difficult I
guess to analyse...
I should try to find a disklavier tech but I have the impression they are
not to many around where I live (Nice, France). Ans in the case of a button
problem the fix would be probably to send the unit for repair... are they
repairing such unit still... not in Paris I guess !
