Backup & Playlist From Floppies

Backup & Playlist From Floppies

2013-03-04 by Joe Priest

I'm embarrassed to even post knowing that you folks are so tech savvy and i am not.
I have a significant investment in Yamaha floppy disks (about 70) for my Mark IV. I recently had one floppy fail and would like to be able to archive the remaining either to another floppy or my laptop. It would also be nice to be able to create my own playlists from my disks.
I appreciate your comments and recommendations.

Any reason those floppies aren't already copied to the hard drive on your Mark IV?

The tools you need to backup those floppies to your computer are found here:

Once the floppies are copied to your MarkIV, playlists can be set up most easily by using DKVBrowser.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
