A new age "What Child is This" for Christmas

A new age "What Child is This" for Christmas

2001-12-13 by Todd Muncy

The incredible attached file was recorded five hours ago on my disklavier. I'd love to say I did it, but that would be an absurd claim. Our family piano teacher (he instructs 3 of us), Kendell Healy, dashed this off as a Christmas gift following Erica's lesson late this afternoon.
He took an extremely basic level one carol book we had on hand and picked a melody, spent less than 3 minutes of practice toying with it, hit the record button, and produced the attached file in one take. Total elapsed time from request to completion was five minutes or less. I'll upload it to the vault, as well as attaching it here.
As you will hear, Kendell is incurably "new age" in style and extremely talented. He creates such arrangements, as well as innumerable original compositions, on the fly in seconds. He's now a member of our group, so he will have a chance to read any opinions you offer. He's just moved his studio and hasn't even checked out our website yet, but he is reading our mail.
He says he should be able to give us lots of uploads eventually. Let's encourage him and hope we get to hear a lot more soon.

What a great piece! A very nice Christmas present. It sounds absolutely fantastic on my DC3APro! I look forward to more from Kendell Healy. Thanks Todd, and thanks Healy.

Thank you, Kendell, and Todd (for uploading),

That was beautifully done. I first listened to it on the computer, then I
had to put it on diskette and hear it on the Disklavier. It filled the
house with your music! I look forward to any future submissions that you
might share with us.

Mark
