MX100A + Logic Pro

Does anyone work with the oldest disklavier and the newest Logic Pro X? I always have the problem with "no midi thru" meaning the notes are sent as new recording and then they repeat crazily until I pull the cable... I would love to exchange some hints and files eventually

A loop is taking place between your sequencer and the Disklavier. Your sequencer app should have a way to turn ECHO off (or whatever they call the function that controls the sequencer MIDI Output so it doesn't send data received in its MIDI Input) and you will no longer have to disconnect a MIDI cable.

Good afternoon, everyone.

I am not a Logic user, but I had an occasion recently to help a Mark IV user with Logic. He had half of the same problem: Logic would echo his playing to the Disklavier. However, unlike the MX100A, the Disklavier would not re-echo the playing back to Logic.

It appears as though Logic assumes that everyone uses a keyboard controller that makes no sound and that they want to hear sound from the designated MIDI Thru device.

The manual says that you can turn off the MIDI Thru function in the following way:

Oddly, the manual assumes that you would only do this in rare situations, like a bulk data dump!

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
