Disklavier selections deleted; how can I find them again?

2014-11-17 by Shelley Bacon

Dear masters of all things Disklavier - I recently had to have my hard drive re-imaged by Yamaha. They saved the hard drive, but erased a number of albums from it in so doing. I guess these albums had been downloaded to the hard-drive post-production and pre-my purchase of the piano. I had an album of "Aba Gold" for instance that is no longer there! Is there any way of finding my lost albums elsewhere? They are not on my hard drive to the best of my knowledge. I may have to purchase them again, and I don't even know which ones were there! I know I am missing perhaps 10 albums, many of which I played regularly.
Any help would be appreciated!Shelley

You were VERY lucky that your hard drive could be re-imaged! Did you ever back it up? Those songs could be there. Also, assuming you purchased this music originally on floppy disks from Yamaha,it should be easy enough to reload them.
