I have a utility, written by Richard Stibbons, available for free on my web site, that allows a variety of modifications to MIDI files on a directory wide basis or on individual files. Although some of the features are specifically intended for use with electronically controlled pneumatic reproducing pianos, there are two useful features for DKV users. Remapping of dynamics may be done on a whole directory of files once you determine the parameters for your playing situation. You can also convert from type 1 to type 0, a directory at a time. From the home page, find the downloadable files page and look for midimod.zip.

If you are looking for great music from Duo-Art Piano rolls for your Disklavier, check out the emulation CDs. My files are about 1/10 the cost of music from Yamaha. Free samples are gladly given, in addition to the samples available from the site.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
