Ability for dkvbrowser to update playlists and change/delete songs

Ability for dkvbrowser to update playlists and change/delete songs

2016-12-02 by jimromo@...

Hello,

I purchased an upgrade for my Mark III to the DKC-850.

My only complaint is that it is very difficult to make any updates to or create playlists through the remote.

The iPad application is great but it only enables you to select and play songs/albums.

I recently installed the dkvbrowser app and it is great. Unfortunately, I am not able to create or add/remove songs from a playlist or to reorder albums. I checked the dkvbrowser user group and Greg indicated that anything prior to the Mark IV will not enable those kinds of updates.

Would Yamaha be able to fix this through an update to the firmware?

If so, it would be a GREAT addition and make it so much easier to manage my music library.

Thanks,

Jim

Could they? Yes.
Will they? Unfortunately, that's extremely unlikely...

Makes me sad...
