Midi Diagnostic Tool

Midi Diagnostic Tool

2019-02-23 by Ralph Specht

Looking for a quick diagnostic tool for my Disklavier.
I seem to have a piano key which plays too loud on a random basis during playback.
Looking for a Midi file which steps thru two octaves below middle C and three octaves above middle C with the same key press (same volume) and then repeats 4-5 times.
I assume this can be generated via computer.
Please excuse my ignorance on terminology.
I am not a piano player but love my Disklavier.
Thank you

i have a program called midi virtual keyboard. you can use it for all sorts of diagnostic purposes. you can play notes at specified velocities with repeat rates etc etc. it requires a PC vonnected to the DKV with a mici interface. you can find it on the download page of my web site. it is about half way down the page.

spencerserolls.com and find the download page, half way down or so.
