[disklavier] We Broke 100

1999-12-23 by Todd Muncy

We broke 100, sounds like a bragging duffer. We now have 102 members, actually 101 because one member needed to register two different addresses. Not bad for a group that numbered 57 less than 72 hours ago. ALL applications have been approved including at least one Yamaha employee. Does Yamaha have any good public domain stuff or utilities you could upload for us? It would probably be very convenient if you set up a folder containing all the different flash ROM firmware updates from the Yamaha site. I would suggest including all the instructions on a txt file in the same folder. Thanks.

"It would probably be very convenient if you set up a folder containing all the different flash ROM firmware updates from the Yamaha site."

Do you think that would be more accessible than it is presently, at the Yamaha.com site? http://www.yamaha.com/ycaservice/group005/fgrop005.htm

Good point. Why don't you add a link directly to that page into the vault?
That would be a lot easier and just as effective.

I added the link to the Yamaha.com disklavier system software page. I
don't think it adds any value to maintain an actual copy of the updates, and
the disadvantage would be that we would need to make sure that our copies
were updated whenever Yamaha makes a new release available. Besides, we
needed some more links for our links page.

I think this is an area where Yamaha service is doing a good job , thanks
Mark!
