New group owner needed. Taking applications.

Twenty years after founding this group, the time has come to turn it over to a new caretaker. My piano playing youngest daughter, who was six when I founded this group is now an aerospace engineer in possession of my disklavier, three thousand miles away in Los Angeles.

Management of this group, whose success I take great pride in, has become a chore at my advanced age and new vibrant leadership is needed. I already have a short list of a half dozen candidates in mind, based on their longstanding contributions to the group.

I ask that everyone interested in taking over the responsibilities contact me at the diskiklavier-ownner private address and tell me why you’re the right person. Hopefully at least one or two of the people on my short list I.e. Carol, Spencer, Alan and a few others will enthusiastically apply for the job. Please include your age and any other reasons that you’re the right person.

A decision might take a couple weeks since I have cataract surgery on Thursday followed by travel to LA. My daughter is not a member or a candidate.

I will remain a member, but not an active participant. Hopefully many will convince me with their vision for the group.

Thank you all and I wish this group dominance in this space for generations to come.

Thank you for all that you have done. I have only asked maybe one question but have an active interest in the group as I have a Dislavier that does not play and is old (early 1990’s). I always read with interest the issues people have.

Todd, your efforts have produced such great results! This has been a remarkable resource for current and potential Disklavier owners and is appreciated perhaps far more than has been expressed over the many years you have shepherded this site. I wish you the very best with your procedure and am glad you are going to continue to check in with the site. Live long and prosper.
