SX100B1 model

SX100B1 model

2002-03-08 by Jihem

Hi everybody,

I finally found that the piano I play at my pub is a SX100B1. The
display is still in japanese and I tried a reset turning the piano on
while pressing some keys on the disk unit (there are four). This gave me
the OS version (1.4I) and ran the test mode. After these operations,
high notes are always sustained and there is a two lines message in
japanese on the screen... Do you think this model can be used as a
master keyboard ? Is the manual available somewhere ? What is the reset
operation ? I don't manage to send midi notes via the midi out port,
except while playing a disk. Any help or information is welcome !

Thanks and best regards.

Sounds like you need to set the MIDI to keyboard out. Try setting the
display to English. Turn the unit on pressing the L and R buttons together.
Press Yes once to select the CTRL SHEET, then press R to set it to English
(L would set it to Japanese)

On this model, the L and R buttons are the last two buttons on the top row
on the right. The Midi button is under the R button. Press the Midi button
to set Kybrd Out.

Who knows if this will work. I am just guessing that a model made for Japan
will come up in English.
