Hi,
like Ron said it depends on what you want (sound for concert hall or home
concert).
I would recommend the MSP-series from Yamaha.
MSP-5 sound ok, but MSP-10 together with the the SW10 sub are even better (if
you have the space for the three coffins :-) ). The MS400 (sorry Ron) are active
monitor speakers, the MSPs active studio monitors. I woulnd´t choose the MS400
because they rather belong to a stage than a living room.
So the choice is yours.

Yes, I neglected to indicate the speakers' destination. It is the 
home theatre. I heard back from Yamaha customer service (800-854-
1569), who suggested the MSP5 (pair) over the MS60S just from 
cosmetics considerations.
