copy the .fil file to formatted 720kb floppy under xp

I followed slickfix's instruction (April 30, 2002) for the conversion of midi to .fil files with mid2eseq. Windows XP won't recognize or write to a 720kb floppy. ?? Am I missing something? Thanks
