Competition Final Round Performances

Re: Competition Final Round Performances

2002-06-26 by mcgregor2play

We have been told that the only final performance to be posted as
MIDI files are the sonatas (and they are out there). The other
fianl pieces involve other instruments (quintet and concerto) and a
MIDI file would provide only the piano part.

THere may be some streaming video recordings of the others . If so
there should be a link at the e-competition site.

Good afternoon, everyone.

The Final Round performances for the six finalists have been up for quite
some time as MIDI files. The best way to get to them is to click on the link
on the home page that takes you to the list of winners. Then, click on each
winner to get to his/her page that contains the performances.

NOTE: Disklavier MIDI files have only been posted for the Sonatas. No MIDI
files have been posted for the quintets and concerti.

All of the pages of the non-finalists list the programs that they intended to
play in the final round had they made it. Of course, there are no links for
those pieces.

On 6/17, there was a final, gala concert in which the 5 performers who
received prizes played. I have submitted those pieces to the web master. Look
for them within a day.
