Re: [disklavier] Smartkey

Since I don't know anything about how to create your own SmartKey files, I will restrict my reply to the physical condition of the piano. I was just discussing the heat wave in Europe with a friend as I had no idea of how terribly hot it is!! In general, heat does not affect pianos, but humidity does. People breathing in a theatre, especially a dinner theatre where there are steam tables will probably raise the pitch of the piano a little bit. Generally, you are probably all right. Thermostat errors occur because the pedal solenoids go out of adjustment. Use fans now and try to keep the air moving - unless you would be blowing more humidity over the piano. Have the piano tuned just before opening night. Use fans in the audience during the performance. Of course, if you have air conditioning, now is the time to use it!! Email PianoBench@... directly and ask him about how to create SmartKey files. Perhaps the Home Concert software program will help you at www.timewarptech.com Carol Beigel crbrpt@... >From: "Jean Debefve" <pubjean@...> >Reply-To: disklavier@yahoogroups.com >To: disklavier@yahoogroups.com >Subject: [disklavier] Smartkey >Date: Wed, 06 Aug 2003 20:21:45 -0000 > >Hi all, > >Despite a long search into the user's manuals, I still do not know how >to build Smartkey midi files.
