[disklavier] Trouble finding the vault & group website.
2000-03-27 by Todd Muncy
Jeff,
I'm sending a CC: of my reply to your
message to the entire group. I've gotten this question more than a few
times. I think we have a lot of new members who think we're just an email
board and are missing 75% of what our web site offers:
* Midi file
swap vault
* Disklavier prices paid database
* Commercial software review database
* Ability to review a long history of messages posted by
members
Here's how to get on the site:
Go to the group site at http://www.egroups.com/group/disklavier/
. If you have never set up your password etc. for egroups, you'll need to
pick "new user" to register your email & password. The site
emails you a registration number you need to set yourself up.
Once you get to the site's home page,
you'll see a navy blue menu bar across the top, one of which is labeled
vault. When you're in the vault be sure to upload all the good
non-commercial midi stuff you've collected over time. Also go to the one
labeled database and add a record saying what you paid for your equipment.
The rest is easy. On future visits from the same computer, no login will
be necessary, because your PC will have a cookie identifying
you.
If anyone else is still having trouble getting on the group
web site after reading the above, send a public message to the disklavier@egroups.com (just hit reply
to this message) and I and other experienced members will get everyone
"hooked-up" in no time. Enjoy
Todd Muncy
Check out my Family Website (open to
all)
which contains some fun disklavier stuff
Suggestions for improvements are welcome.
This is a brand new work in process.
