I don't use Smartscore, but in the midi format, you have to change the velocity by individual notes, in Sibelius, they have plug ins that allow you to change velocities, and the most dynamics you put in are recognized by Sibelius (ff=loud, pp=soft, etc....). The nice thing about Sibelius is that you can easily put these nuances in, using standard music markings. Buffy
