Corrupted files replaced
2004-02-11 by PianoBench@aol.com
Good afternoon, everyone.
I am pleased to say that the corrupted 3rd piece for Grace Fong and the corrupted 3rd piece for Wenli Zhou have now been replaced on the Piano-e-Competition website.
If you have downloaded the 3rd individual piece for either person or if you have downloaded either the Enhanced SMF or E-SEQ .zip files for these contestants, you should throw those files away and redownload from:
http://www.piano-e-competition.com/contestantbios04/gracefong.htm
http://www.piano-e-competition.com/contestantbios04/wenlizhou.htm
I am thankful that we have so many good natured Disklavier enthusiasts who have assisted in identifying these problems.
With regard to the problem that some people have had unzipping files under Windows XP:
It is clear that this is a Microsoft problem that is not present on all XP computers. For more information, please see:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;[LN];813942
If you need a utility to unzip these files, you have many from which to choose, such as the free StuffIt Expander (http://www.stuffit.com/win/index.html) and WinZip (www.winzip.com).
Regards,
PianoBench
