Disklavier floppy drive replacement?
2004-06-09 by NOEL
A few months ago I bought an 8 year old Disklavier MX100B from a man I knew who was moving house. As he had no idea of the valve, and I did, I let him decide the selling price. When he said £300 I rented a van and collected it the same day. Anyway enough of my lucky find. Here comes the bad part.!!! Before he owned it, it was in a pub. beer and smoke mixed with the floppy drive seems to have taken effect. When I first got it the drive worked every other or third time. Slowly it has got to the stage when it no longer works at all. My question is. Is there a replacement floppy drive I can use. I have took the drive out. Matsushita Ju-253A163M. 720K The coonection on the back looks like a normal 1.44Mb floppy. Can I simply change it for a new 1.44Mb or is it more specific. Many thanks in advance for you help Nobblynoel (Defadance)
