Disklavier Files

2000-06-21 by Daryl Norman

Hi Todd
I am a member of your group, and I am writing to you about the
utilities program that you wrote about in one of your emails. The
program can do all the things that the Giebler program can do and
more.I purchased the Giebler program and just cannot figure out how
to use it.Could you please send me the program that you were talking
about?I own a Yamaha GT2 with a DSR1 attached, and have a laptop
hooked up to it.(just like your DGTIIXG but without the automatic key
movement).I love my set up but I just cannot get my Yamaha software
disks to play through my laptop.
The disks are not "recognised". I also cannot edit them. Any help
would be appreciated. Also do you have any suggestions on "fun"
programs to add to my laptop.I currently own Band in a box, Yamaha XG
works, and recently purchased Home Concert 2000(a great program!)I
have emailed you twice before at these addresses(disklavier-
owners@egroups.com) and Disklavier@...). I hope these
messages are getting through, but maybe not. (sent 6-13,and 6-14-
00).I joined your group months ago, and you have done a wonderful job
creating this site! I am one of the more silent members, but as I
learn more about midi and what I am doing, I hope to be able to
contribute to the group as well!
                                  Thanks,
                                      Daryl Norman

Hello, I'm looking for Stairway to Heaven and Rhapsody in Blue
downloads for my Disklavier piano. They need to be in a fil format
not MIDI. Can anyone help me?

Thanks,

Rhapsody in Blue probably came with your Disklavier.
I'm sure you can find Stairway to Heaven on a MIDI
file, and just use the software that is free on this
website to convert theMIDI file to a .fil

Good morning, everyone.

You can find two different Rhapsody in Blues at yamahamusicsoft.com:

http://yamahamusicsoft.com/index.php?action=ProductDetail&product_id=1000087

This disk contains piano roll recordings of Gershwin himself, converted to E-SEQ files for Disklavier

Also:

http://yamahamusicsoft.com/index.php?action=ProductDetail&product_id=1000065

This version was recorded by Sarah Buechner and requires a tone generator for the orchestral tracks.

Both of these versions are in the file format that you require. Yamaha in the US currently publishes all of its Disklavier PianoSoft and PianoSoft Plus titles in a format that is compatible with all Disklavier models.

The Led Zeppelin version of Stairway to Heaven can be found at:
