Vincent,

Can you give us a little more information to the list here regarding the CD ROM
for the Yamaha?

Can a retrofit be done for existing Yamaha pianos?

If so, is the retrofit currently available and does the existing controller box
on the pianos need to be changed out for the upgrade?

Does it need to be done by a Yamaha trained person?

Which series of pianos has the CD ROM installed?

Is there a link where we can get more information on the CD ROMs and the CD XG
midifiles for them?

Thanks,

Danny Simpson

Hello Danny,
This CD rom is a CD with only MIDIfiles, and all the files as wave file. This means that you can listen to this CD in your Audio CD player, but also in the computer as MIDI files. You can also hear the file as MIDI through the computer (or disklavier linked) or the same midi file as audio (the midi has been recorded already for this purpose)
some parts has to be changed: the pianopart is not always at channel 1.
Some examples you can download:

Vincent,

Thanks for the reply although all I received from your reply
was your attached message (shown below), and my original
post to the list. Apparently, the message was damaged as I
cannot even do a 'view source' using Netscape Navigator.

For some reason, the rest of your message did not make it
out to me...

Can you try to re-send your reply in plain text rather than
HTML?

Thanks,

Danny Simpson

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
