DC1A Mark III Technical Resources

DC1A Mark III Technical Resources

2000-08-09 by Dirk Leas

I'm trying to find technical details about my DCA1 Mark III -- stuff
like whattypes of content I can put on the CD/floppies/how do I
create the content, the format differences between the various
content types (e.g. PianoSoft.*, CueTime, Virtuoso Performance,
etc.), how I can programmatically interact with it from my PC/MAC,
etc. Also, are all the manuals online somewhere?

TIA,
Dirk
DC1A Rookie

Boy...this is EXACTLY the kind of information that I have been trying to
find......BEFORE I buy it. So far I have not been able to locate anything
at all. Please keep in touch with me!

I've made contact with one of the US Yamaha tech support guys. He's taking
these questions with him on a trip to Japan -- I guess he goes every once in
a while for training from the production engineers. Let me know if you have
any further questions and I'll make sure he asks for us.

Which model are you thinking of getting?

To Post a message to the group, send it to: disklavier@...

To Post a private message to Todd Muncy, the group's founder and moderator,
send it to:
disklavier-owner@egroups.com

To reach our group's web site go to:
http://egroups.com/group/disklavier

To visit Todd's family web site that contains some fun disklavier content
among other things, go to:
http://MuncyFamily.com

THINKING OF LEAVING THE GROUP?
If you are thinking of unsubcribing because you are getting too much mail,
go the the web site and change your email delivery option instead. That
will fix the problem, while maintaining your access to the group. If you
insist on leaving us completely send a blank email to:
disklavier-unsubscribe@...

Know someone who wants to join? Have them send a blank email to:
disklavier-subscribe@...

Basically I am interested in all the same things you are...in particular,
how to access the Diskclavier from a computer if I write my own software. I
want to write a sequence editor.

Anyway, I am planning on getting the Mark III PRO, so it may be a different
answer for some things. The DC7PRO is the model I am getting...or want to
get...

Technical docs.....I really want technical docs...
