Looking for a tech in Chicago

Looking for a tech in Chicago

2005-12-21 by Brown, Meta

Can anyone recommend a good tech in Chicago? My MX1 is way overdue
for a tuning, and I'd also like to have a family member's
(conventional) piano tuned as a gift.

Meta,
Personally I have worked with Hendricks Keyboards out of Downers Grove. Ed Hendricks is the Owner and in particular, John Blessing is one of the finest techs that I have ever known. They service and tune my Mark IV. I would never think about going to anyone else. IF I am correct, I believe that they take care of providing and prepping the pianos for the Oprah show whenever they have a big name come in. The last one they did that I know of was for Barry Manilow.
Their number is 630-969-5082. And of course being a Yamaha Dealer, they know Disklaviers inside and out. www.hendrickskeyboards.com
Best wishes,
Glenn Smutny
