Disklavier

I'll be presenting a one-hour lecture demonstration of our work in 
St. Paul on Tuesday evening at 6:30pm.  It's your chance to sit in 
the room and hear a live re-performance of Glenn Gould playing 
excerpts from his 1955 recording of Bach's Goldberg Variations -- on 
a nine-foot Disklavier Pro concert grand.  I'll talk about some of 
the lessons we've learned in the process of working through this 
album, and illustrate with both the original recording and the live 
piano.

We did the 20-minute version at ideaCity in Toronto a few weeks ago; 
it was quite a hit there.  Many in the audience had actually heard 
Gould play in person -- and remember, he retired in 1964 -- so the 
overwhelmingly positive feedback was quite gratifying.
