I'm looking for more "newage" piano midi files. Any recommended sites

The folks at PG Music Inc. sell a collection of NewAge piano songs
(www.pgmusic.com). I have the collection myself. I don't know of any sites on
the web but that doesn't mean that they don't exist.

Midi files

2018-07-15 by Ed Hayden

Good evening to all! I have a DKC100xg that we play using sweet midi on our iPad. It works great! We are trying to find midi files of contemporary artists to add to our collection. We hear beautiful piano music on pandora, note the artist, look up their website and we can never find midis we can purchase that will play on our setup. Is there a source for these types of midi.

Thanks,
Ed

basically, the answer is NO! you can search for the title plus MIDI and you might find something but the chances are that about 89% of what you find will be useless. it will be arranged multi part music that will sound horrible on your DKV. you can try using VanBasco's Music Search and might have slightly greater success.

i have pretty much given up trying to find decent music on the internet. i have written hundreds of utilities that help in trying to fix stuff that you might find and make it playable on a solo instrument but the effort is rarely justified by the results.

your best bet ( i mean this seriously not being "smart") is to hire a good keyboard player to record what you want. play the recording you like or give them the sheet music and pay them a decent fee and what you will get is likely to be a lot better than wasting time on the internet.

a good musician can make a recording on a digital keyboard (get a good one) or your DKV if it has record capability.

once you get these recordings, share them with me please :)

Thanks for your quick response Spencer. I was afraid that would be the answer. I do have some local artists who would be willing to cut some files for me.I’ll send you some as soon as I accomplish the goal.

I've enjoyed this music, especially the e-competition.

if you want the full set of e-comp files from 2001 to 2012 (later ones have not been released in any convenient way) you an get them from my web site. go to spencerserolls.com and navigate to the "download" page. look for E-comp.zip the zip includes the files mostly in high res format and also tag.txt files that will add MP3 tags to the files so you can see the meta data in any MP3 player. not sure on the current status of how DKV works with MP3 files in the same area is E-Comp_Text which is a tabbed text file with the filenames (i have changed them by adding the date in () because some file names were re-used over the years) that can be used in a variety of ways to explore the files.

the files are as they came from Yamaha and do not have useful meta date in text events. it is possible to add this using my keyword tools programs.
