Timing of new purchase

2007-03-05 by carlyoungblood

I am close to buying a brand-new disklavier Mark IV (either the DGC1
or the DC2). I have heard rumors that Yamaha may be making some
upgrades to its actual piano model line (separate from the disklavier
technology) around May of this year. Does anyone on this list know
anything about this? If so, how significant would these changes be?
I'm wondering if I should wait or just go ahead and purchase now.

Thanks,

Carl

The up-grades are all softward based - which means you
along with all the other current Mark IV owners will
receive this upgrade for free. The new features such
as Disklavier Radio and Disklavier music store were
introduced at the trade show this year. It is my
understanding that in the next few months these new
features will be avaiable for all Mark IV owners to
enjoy.

Thanks Alan. I am aware of the upcoming disklavier upgrade. What I am talking about is an actual improvement in the piano hardware. I may have heard wrong,
