DCD1 for sale

DCD1 for sale

2008-01-14 by Mark Fontana

I have a Yamaha DCD1 for sale if anyone is interested. This is the
discontinued CD player accessory which connects to Mark II and older
Disklaviers and permits playing PianoSoft Plus Audio CDs and PianoSmart
titles. It will also allow you to play QRS Pianomation CDs and older
(pre-2005) PianoDisc CDs.

To use the DCD1, you connect its MIDI OUT port to the MIDI IN port of
your piano and then connect its stereo line outputs (providing the
accompaniment audio) to your stereo system or powered speakers.

Official DCD1 product information from Yamaha is here:
  http://tinyurl.com/2acmf6

The unit works fine, has seen only light use, and the original
packaging, cables, remote control and instructions are included. This
unit has already been updated with the latest known firmware, which
includes support for PianoSmart playback. Photos are available upon
request.

Original list price was $1295; I am asking $650 which includes insured
UPS Ground shipping within the U.S. (local pickup in Minneapolis/St.
Paul is available). I would prefer payment by PayPal (credit cards
accepted; it's not necessary to have a PayPal account to make a
payment). I'll accept a personal check if you don't mind waiting while
it clears.

Hi,

I may be interested in your DCD1.? I have a Mark II and have set my stereo system around it in anticipation of being able to use the DCD1.? Its been sitting this way for two years!? Can you use the DCD1 without a MIDI sound generator?? The Mark II does not have one.? Would that have to be added to get full use of the Piano Soft Plus discs?

Mike

Hi,

I just did a quick bit of research and it shows that for my M100 II with only the 720K floppy player and no tone generator, I would also need the DSR1 unit to go with the DCD1, software and hardware upgrades as well.? If I am wrong on this, let me know as that would be quite costly albeit not as costly as a Mark III !

Dear Chipper,
I have an updated Mark II XG, just need the DCD-1 to complete the full update. I'd like to buy yours. I think Mike is out of luck, since he does not have the rest of the story (update).

Dear Mike,
I have an updated Mark II XG. My original configuration was a M100 II and a Tone Generator, so I did get synthesizer music to go along with Piano. If your interested, I'd be willing to sell the Tone Generator.

Chuck

DCD1 for sale

2009-03-21 by James Fry

I am selling my DCD1 in the UK. It is approximately 5 years old, but has
rarely been used - I only have two Pianosoft Plus Audio CDs and probably
played them 20 times at most.

It seems silly to let it gather dust, so please email me if you are
interested in buying it!

Thanks!

James

DCD1 for sale

2010-07-14 by James Fry

Hi all

I'm selling my DCD1 unit if anyone is interested - barely used (I only have 1 pianosoft plus audio cd in addition to the sampler!)

I advertised this last year but the sale fell through. Would prefer UK buyer if there is anyone:)

The DCD1 allows you to play pianosoft plus audio CDs (ie real audio recordings with a piano accompaniment) on devices without a built in CD player and just connects with 2 midi cables. With suitable flash upgrades from yamaha it is possible to play the majority of pianosync releases too (piano backing over the top of commercial conventional CDs). The unit almost brings a mark2xg system up to mark3 level.

Many thanks!

James
