Add to card missing on MK4 Radio

Add to card missing on MK4 Radio

2009-01-04 by Phil Blah

Hey Guys,

Just wondering has anyone had this problem where the 'CART' has just dissapeared on the internet radio on the MK4?

Quite often I like a song and want to buy it, but now I can't, the 'add' button has just vanished. (when a song is playing and it has that radio tower animation etc)..

I have shut down the piano over the last week a few times but not sure...

Cheers,

Philip

I am able to see the cart on the virtual PRC interface. I haven't
tried to actually buy anything, but I can view the cart ... says empty.

Hello Joan,

Cheers,

Philip

When I am playing a song from the disklavier radio station, I see
mute, home and history. I do NOT see a buy button.

If you go to the disklavier store, you can search by title of a song
and double click on the title of the song, then you are given the
options to add (which will put it in your cart), album (which I assume
puts not only that song but an entire album in your cart, didn't try
it) and preview which will let you listen to the song.

Hope that helps. I am not sure that the ability to buy directly from
a song you hear on the disklavier radio was there before, never tried
it. But if you know the title or composer you can probably find it in
the disklavier store, in the manner I described above.

Re: [disklavier] Re: Add to card missing on MK4 Radio

Hello Joan,

Yeup I am aware of the store, I have purchased heaps of songs... when they first released version 3.0 for the MARK4 one of the new features was when a Radio song was playing you could while on that screen click ADD to cart... this way you had the EXACT version.

So often I go to find the song later I may spell the name/title wrong or the particular version of a song might be under a different name etc OR 50 different search results appear and so it's very annoying...

It seems the whole ADD to cart button (while a song is playing) just dissapeared!

Cheers,

Philip

Good evening, everyone.

During playback of DisklavierRadio, an Add to cart button should
appear if the piece is available for purchase. In order to respect
copyright and licensing regulations, Yamaha cannot offer all songs on
DisklavierRadio for purchase at this time.

You can review recently played pieces (downloadable and not) by
tapping the History button. At that point, you can tap on any piece in
the list and see whether it can be purchased.

Hi piano bench,

Well it used to be there for every song, but now it never shows... so they must of just turned that feature off.

Oh well

Re: [disklavier] Re: Add to card missing on MK4 Radio

2009-01-08 by George F. Litterst

Good morning, everyone.

After exploring the missing AddToCart button issue further with
Yamaha, it was determined that a bug had recently crept into the
shopping cart feature on the server side. That bug has been fixed. I
am now seeing many more AddToCart buttons as I listen to Disklavier
Radio.

It is still true, however, that you will sometimes hear selections
that are not for sale.

When the AddToCart button is present, you don't have a History button.
However, you can get to the History feature by clicking AddToCart. On
the confirmation screen that comes up, there is a History button.

To get out of the AddToCart screen or the History screen, you can
simply push the Return button below the LCD.

All of this works identically, of course, using the Virtual PRC on
your computer. The advantage, however, is that if you have to type
your password, you can use your computer keyboard if you are using the
Virtual PRC.
