Apple Quicktime Pro?

Apple Quicktime Pro?

2009-02-12 by lowdebt4me

I've ssen a few websites which play midi files (actually, they allow my
computer to play their MIDI files) using Apple Quicktime which is
already installed on my computer. When I right-click on the website's
audio bar thingie, I see a message that says something similar
to, "PRO. Save as source". If I purchased the Pro version of
Quicktime, would I then be able to capture these MIDI files as MIDI
files which I could then play on my disklavier, or would Quicktime Pro
convert them to something like a .wav file?

Thanks in advance...

The Pro version will allow you to save MIDI files in two formats.
"Save as source" will save a plain MIDI file. "Save as QuickTime
movie" will essentially save the MIDI file wrapped in a QuickTime
movie. For playing on your Disklavier, you would of course want to
"save as source."
