Tracks produced by this software include PianoDisc's "Silent Drive Plus"
scheme of overlaid garbage notes intended to prevent playback on
competitors' systems. They also include a small technical change to the
format that made PianoDisc streams incompatible with the Disklavier
after about 2005 (definitely unplayable by the Mark III and DCD-1).
As far as I can tell, Yamaha never updated the Mark III or DCD-1 to
handle either of these changes. I'd be interested to hear whether the
DKC-850 or latest Mark IV software are able to play these streams
properly.
