1. If you are using the original power adapter, possibly with an American mains plug fitted, the adapter may be causing a problem as it is designed for use with 100VAC mains voltage.

2. This may also have caused the key drive and/or pedal drive to be overdriven, damaging solenoids or drive circuits.

3. It may just be that something has failed, as can happen with any electrical/electronic product.

4. It's impossible to determine if it is repairable without getting a technician to have a look at it.

5. Although it's a grey import, it may be possible to identify an equivalent US model to get a service manual and work out what parts may be needed. (otherwise, you might need a technician who can read the original Japanese service manual)

6. There may be legal implications for anyone working on the electrics of the piano as it has not been certified to comply with US safety/electrical standards.

I'd say, the first step would be to get someone to check it out.
