disklavier necessary? a question on Yamaha stage piano P95

2012-01-06 by yehukom

Hi Everyone, I have a question.. I know I can play midi files on the disklavier. But I wonder, if the simple Yamaha stage piano P95 can play with its own sounds also the midi files located on the computer through the MIDI IN? thank you in advance for your help,
@.

Hi Everyone,
I need to sell my Disklavier. What is the best way to go about selling it and getting what it's worth? It's about 7 months old and in great condition.
Thanks,
Shelly

Good afternoon, everyone.

The P95 will play MIDI data received at the MIDI In port from a computer or other source.

As long as you are playing MIDI files that are piano solo, this will work out fine. If you are playing multi-track MIDI files that have instrumental backing tracks, you will not hear the correct sounds because the P95 lacks the General MIDI (GM) sounds that are normally used with such files.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
